I absolutely loved this. So cute, yet so sad. I love how tender Alfred is to his states. I'm just all warmed up inside now...

In my mind, Alfred is a great father who just gets along really well with his younger kids. But with the 13 colonies and Texas, he's more like a crazy older brother even though he is technically their dad.

Aww, I love the way that you've portrayed Alfred's caring, fatherly side. And your characterization of the little states was genius. But, most especially, little Lani really got at me. Great work--beautiful fic.

Aw. I remember a scene like this from Lilo and Stitch. I couldn't help but sing along just now XD; Such a cute story! Made me feel all fuzzy inside...
