I gained a pound this week. I am caught in this cycle of where I stay the same for about 2 weeks and then I drop like 3-4lbs. Any ideas of how to break out of this cycle. I would love to go for more walks, but with this new house, I find that I can't seem to find the time with doing yard work and what not. I think it has something to do with my ( Read more... )

try core for a bit? it might help beak the cycle, or maybe limiting your flex points? upping the acivity points?

yeah, i thought about switching to core for a bit, but then I went ahead and had something not core right away. I just got my bike back from the repair shop, so I think I will have to go for long bike rides. Thanks.

if you have a bit of cash, splurge on an hour or 1 1/2 hour with a personal trainer who can give you ideas on how to make a workout more effective.
You can often take this advice and apply it to home stuff, like yard work (which burns on average ~150 calories per hour for easy stuff like weeding and up to 375 per hour for some strenous stuff like raking...)
either way, they should be able to tell you little moves you can do at home that can make a huge difference.
