Ok so with the moving and all, movie viewing time was at a premium even after I went into the post-move coma which I don't seem to have come out of yet...
So 1 movie to review! Easy-peasy!

Legend - Extended Director's Cut (on cable) (rewatch) - This movie is over 20 years old and I still can't get over it was directed by Ridley Scott. I've always loved the look of this movie. And the whole Satan Tim Curry seducing Mia Sara scenes. Mmmm black lipstick... I digress. The main downfall of this movie that really keeps it out of greatness and cult-love to me is that so much happens with no explanation. That's where I was hoping the extended version (30 minutes more of what... I couldn't tell you. I didn't notice anything new) would come in. I get Jack letting Lily touch the unicorn allows the goblins their moment to poison the unicorn. I get Lily in her remorse following the goblins to set things right. I don't get where exactly the nymph, sprite, and whatever Screwball and them are (brownies? hobbits?) come in to chastise and help Jack. They're just there telling him what to do. And they have previous connections with Oona loving Jack and Screwball's brother being a goblin that never get explained. It's like there's a movie behind the movie of how these people know each other. Ignoring that, the plot gets back on track to rescuing the princess, vanquishing Darkness, and restoring the unicorn. Yay for perfect fairytale.
