I wrote this to a friend of mine who just moved back from florida after a very bad breakup. She was talking about how hard it was to deal with the breakup. I just used language as a metaphor for a relationship. Just like a language, we all have nuances, structure and a vocabulary that can only be read by those who know us well. The secret language is the language between two lovers and the moments that they share that are known to no one else. When they break up, they are left with the memories of the relationship they shared, but also with the realization that things will never be the way they were before.
