I was told this week by the head of graduate admissions to the Dept of Earth Sciences that I would have no problem getting into the PhD program at Florida International University. He's mailing my reprints - whatever those are. He also suggested, if I could raise my verbal GRE score ~200 points, that I might reap the benefits of the Presidential
