Today was going "well." I woke up at 7am. Then I fell back asleep on my couch until 8:30am - oops - so I got to work late, which is fine by me. I stayed relatively busy until 1pm when I got to leave the office and go outside. Surveying with Brian wasn't too bad, it was ~35oF out... although it was snowing and I got soaked b/c I didn't have my ( Read more... )

You were in the emergency room? I'm sorry to hear that. Good to hear that you survived, though :) May I inquire as to why you were there in the first place to have said dizzy spell there?

Ok, a little background I suppose. Since high school, I've been prone to getting really light-headed when I stand up. Not always, but it happens on and off. I get light-headed and my vision fades to black and I see "stars." Never passed out from this though. Well in the last couple weeks it's been more frequent and, in the last couple years, I've had a couple instances of getting light-headed to the point of being dizzy and feeling nauseous. The circumstances surrounding these events seem completely unrelated. I conveyed as much to the doctor with whom I was meeting. He wanted me "checked out" anyway. I don't think he believed me when I said I wasn't anemic and I wasn't starving myself or malnourished. So they ran a bunch of tests: lots of blood, urine, blood pressure, oxygen in my blood, hooked me up to an EKG, a shit load of questions... and then I laid in the hospital strecher all alone for a few hours (which upset me more than the rest of it). Essentially they came back and said they don't know why I get so dizzy ( ( ... )

I'm sorry you had to lay on a stretcher in the hospital alone for a while like that. I don't even like being in hospitals to begin with so I can only imagine how much that sucked :( If there's anything I can do, let me know.

I miss my Julie. Sorry you were in the hospital, but glad you're out too. ;-) You do realize you need to visit GA, right? :-)

You're too sweet. Hopefully, I will be driving through Atlanta this summer, maybe a couple times, so I will be sure to make a stop for you (not sure how long, maybe a few hours, maybe a day - maybe depends how long you want me). That's the plan anyway.

Miss you too, hun. Take care of yourself.

Random thought: It'll be a sad day for me when you take me out of your profile. Heh, I've gotten so used to it being there.
