Anatomy Lessons

After Hongkong, this would be the first time I'd be getting my shut-eye at this hour. I suppose I'm back to old my old habits. It's rather refreshing to be the only person awake at certain times of the day -- save for the four little puppies, Chanel, Dior, Vuitton and Starr; and their mommies who stalk me outside my room ( Read more... )

"Instead, I will become a builder. Not necessarily an architect or a designer as I am academically trained, rather, I will be a creator, a weaver of dreams. I will change forms -- words, spaces, sounds, ideas, images, objects -- and make them tumble, leak, shift, sashay and soar. I want to build, I want to make. Make the intangible and tangible tangle. I want to make shake bake and be the both candlestick maker and the dragon slayer."

Wow, well stated and quite inspiring. :)

I see myself in a similar position. I don't think I can really be what people would refer to as an "architect" but I believe I would still be in a field very much related to it. There are just some people made to be hardcore architects and well, I don't think I'm one of them. Anyway, good lucks! :)

As for hardcore architects, I know of those people -- these people dreamed of becoming FL Wrights when they were toddlers with Lego. Along the road, I thought I wanted to become one of em hardcores, I mean who wouldn't want that intense, focused passion for building? But I'm really not. I got into architecture on a whim, (I wanted to use my physics and math credits) thinking I'd be better off exploring something that was multi-disciplinary. I'm glad I made that decision, for now, I'm just as confused as ever!

I'm sure you'll be an awesome architect. You're smart, talented, articulate and perceptive. That's pretty much all you need. Thesis nyo na! Hehehe! Goodluck in conjuring the much needed enthusiasm that should be sustained throughout the schoolyear.
