I need new glasses

I need new glasses.  the ones I have are all wonky.
and I think it's time to get a cat.  suggestions anyone?  tom/queen?  colours?  temperament?

I know that I will forever try to find another Otto.  A stone's worth of fury.

I am quite torn about this - I have not had a fluffball kitten before, and a smaller creature is more likely to be taken to by Hips, however, there is work to be done on a kitten, and with the rats in the garden (one less than earlier however..) a steady cat maybe the best way to go forward...
