Because of grade school, college, and grad school, I'm used to being in a certain place for a finite amount of time. That schedule has also affected my perception of work as full-time jobs lasted for only a few months and part-time at Davis Library was just that: part-time.

Now I've been working in my current full-time library job for nearly a year and I'm already antsy for a change. What's somewhat helping ground me is that I'll be living in the same house for consecutive years, the first time that's happened since high school.

But I know what you mean. We've been conditioned to move on and continually start anew that when we're expected to stay still, we freeze up. That's why I'm pursuing being a writer full-time because it's a field that affords a great deal of flexibility and can be done anywhere.

Hope the semester ends well for you.

that is very interesting.

I also feel like I'm constantly starting, or starting over. I have moved 6 times in the last 6 years, attended three different schools, lived in the states, the uk, the states and back again. but it's always starting, never building. I should be grateful for all the options and the ability to do what every i want, but i can't seem to figure out what i want.

*hugs*
