IFComp08: Project Delta

There's a little bit of debate about whether this is an IF.

Let's skip that and get to the point: it's not even a game.

This is a demo of the author's from-scratch windows-only engine that is little more than a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure client. The 'game' itself takes maybe 6 turns to complete and there are no branches, basically zero interaction (it's all through a numbered menu system) and even the minimal engine itself is a bit buggy (or at least completely non-intuitive).

A typical 'room' looked like this:

You're in the firing range. Your instructor is over there, and he told you to pick up your gun.
1) Pick up gun

The only 'puzzle' was what to do when the only option was:
0)

Turns out, I was supposed to shoot at a target but I had the gun in the wrong hand, so it wouldn't show me the 'shoot' menu option.

1/10 - Not a game, not an IF, clunky engine, demo, why do people enter this crap? At least it's easy to review.
