Sick.

Ugh, I'm staying home from work sick today. I've been getting a little tickle in the back of my throat recently but today it's full blown. I'm stuffy, sore-throat, sleepy and headachy. I've managed to slag myself down to the corner store to get some medicines and now I am going to take them and pass out for a while longer. Hopefully I will wake ( Read more... )

Poor George. {{{hugs}}} Perhaps if I send you the next chapter of I Need You to read, you'll feel better? :P

I'm sorry to hear that EoD is kicking your ass. If you want, I'll be happy to help.

It seems that to make them travel that night, there should be some event or some clear-and-present-danger that makes staying at the campsite a completely impossible situation. I don't know. Perhaps marauders, or maybe Bill and Tom's herefore unknown buddies, suddenly show up in the distance and they have to get the hell out of there NOW, or something. Just an idea.

Duh! I forgot to mention one of the most obvious reasons why they might want to travel at night, and one I should know all about, considering I live in a damn desert: it's cool and it's not 110 degrees. Poor John can't take anymore of the Nevada heat, or something, so after he wakes up they get moving in an effort to get to Dorothy Mae's before the heat of the day kicks in. And maybe they're low on water too--you can and will collapse if you don't drink enough fluids in the heat, and might even end up in the hospital for dehydration or heat exhaustion (which I guess isn't much of a problem in England :P).

Sorry to ramble on like this...

Wow, I feel just the same way (only not as full blown, because i didn't stay home from school). We're channelling diseases, George ;)

My opinion on the EoD thing parallels Layla's. The heat issue would be the most practical reason to have them move at night.

If you need any help, feel free to mail me ;)
