An overdue update but here is one anyway: my birthday was on the 8th and although it was small and quiet it was very nice. I was at home with my parents and little brother for it and we went out to a nice dinner. I got a few CDs and books from my parents, as well as a nice new pair of pants and a gift card from my brother. My sister sent me a

On the writing/fandom woes, the only thing I've ever found is trying to get into a different fandom for a while. Discover new favorite authors and stories. Give yourself some space and time, then try again.

I suppose getting inspired by another fandom would be an apt idea for at least creative purposes if not neccessarily ones to inspire me to write in my current fandom. It's a bit sad but really I have no other fandom I'm interested in.

Hmm. I also look at art sometimes. allposters.com is very helpful, as well as gettyimages.com. They're like prompts!

I usually listen to music. Sometimes certain albums depending on the mood of the fic, but other times it's usually my playlist, which has a whole variety of stuff on it. When I have writer's block of a certain fandom I'll reread my favorite fics from that fandom that have to do with the pairing I'm writing.
I agree that there have been too many teenies in the Beatlesslash fandom lately. I tend to ignore most entries unless they're by a few certain authors.

As for inspiration, it depends.
Sometimes it's as simple as listening to good music, especially music you associate with the fandom. I often find when I'm a bit 'blah' about a fandom it's because I've just been listening to the wrong music.
Alcohol- without encouraging people to get absolutely trollied, when uninspired I get more and more tense about it, which makes it worse- relaxing and letting it all go helps, for me this means drinking.
Re-read good stuff. Other people's stuff you love, and often your own stuff, emerse yourslf it what was- it's normally still there.
Sometimes you just need a complete break from fandom. It can be too intense, too overwhelming, and just a ret from it rcharges your love for it.
If all that fails? Kick everyone out of the house, put AHDN on the telly and sit back and enjoy.
Best of luck, luv.

I don't know what to say about the Death of the Muse...I have the same problem. But it's exacerbated by the fact that I'm so lazy about it lately. I don't even force myself to write, even if what comes out is crap, just for the practice. Sigh. :-/
