MoveOn.org is an example of why the death penalty should be legal

MoveOn.org is the most unabashedly ignorant inane peice of liberal mindlessness on the web today. They criticize a guy name Sinclair for having a 2 minute conservative point made on about 60 localized tv stations he owns. This conservative bias should be tolerated and heres why. The media as a whole, especially pureley "news" stations like CNN ( Read more... )

Being a recovered liberal, I would say most liberals are goodhearted people. Misguided, yes. Don't understand basic economics, yes. But not necessarily mentally deficient. Look at Soros, the money behind moveon.org. He's a brilliant investor, and has made billions by injecting capital our economy. For that, he should be respected. But his politics are terrible. Most liberals simply haven't learned, as Milton Friedman so aptly put it, that there is no such thing as a free lunch.

I dont doubt about 1 to 2 percent of liberals are good hearted. Its the other 98% of them that ruins it for the whole. I would argue that any liberal thats over the age of 25 could be at least slightly mentally deficient. Thats no insult to you. People grow and people learn but when idealism starts to outweigh truth some questions should be asked. The fact that im a christian also should lead you to believe that I dont believe people are naturally good. We wouldnt need the laws we have today if the tendency for people was to do the right thing. If you watch kids play you notice their greed and mean nature in a primitive form. Before children learn tact they show themselves to be inherently mean hearted. Therefore knowing my condition I know that a lot of liberals I meet are not goodhearted people with the exception of a few who try to honestly follow the tenets of liberalism without the underlying agenda of hate. I think you were one of the few because although you might have looked down on religion you never have revealed ( ... )

I agree, when you believe something so much that absolute facts cannot sway you from believing it you have officially gone insane.

I mean for instance, John, we were talking to that kid today in steak-n-shake and no matter how many times we destroyed his argument he still believed he was right and often repeated the same things over and over again hoping they would be right if he said it again.

I am sick and tired of having to argue topics with people who refuse to accept the facts. when thier logic remains inconsistand or obviosly flawed they label me close-minded for not agreeing with something that is obviously wrong.

But thats OK if believing in things that actually work instead of those things that don't... and actually standing up for what you believe in makes you close-minded, well, I am a pretty damn close-minded individual.
