Surprise!

I didn't have a definite list of things I wanted to do this weekend, but if I had such a list, rushing to the ER with kidney stones was definitely not on it. :( They are every bit as painful as I'd read about on the net. Kind-of-luckily, my husband and I had just gone through this drill with him about 3 months ago, so we knew not to waste time ( Read more... )

Kidney stones do hurt, yes indeedy!

I've seen busaikko around fandom for years and we had a side conversation a few years ago about something else. I wish I knew her more!

Yikes, sorry about the kidney stones! :-( But how amazing about Japan. Hope you'll tell us all about it (with pics!) when you get home.

I'm very much looking forward to the trip but am a little nervous about the wide cultural gap. I try to be brave!

Have fun in Japan! I hope to go someday too!

Any advise on passing kidney stones?

Advice: the ER trip is only for the drugs you need before you can pass it yourself. Otherwise, I don't know how anyone can bear the pain. I was supposed to drink a lot of water but I kept throwing up instead, so it was tricky.

Ack! Kidney stones! So glad you passed it and you're feeling better! *HUGS*

JYJ are going to be in Ibaraki at the State Hitachin Kaihin Park on October 15 and 16th, but I don't think you'll be in that area. :-P I hope you find some good shows to go to!

I am feeling better, yep. Really dazed, though.

We'll be there starting Oct 28, so maybe it's just a little too soon for all the mid-level groups to be announced yet. And the group I would've loved to see, Luna Sea, sold out in 5 minutes.

I never had kidney stones, but I did have a massive kidney infection, and the pain from that was bad enough. Having read a few descriptions of the pain from kidney stones (one in one of my favorite (sci-fi) novels) I can't even imagine. Ugh!

It's insane how fast those shows sell out. And especially if you're not in-country, it's nearly impossible to get tickets. But you never know. I'm sure you'll find something fun!
