Man I wish I could help you guys out!! This is the worst its ever been for us too! We received a letter from our mortgage company threatening to foreclose on our house. We're behind on every bill and are only having Thanksgiving because we are going to other peoples houses that day. Not to mention how we'll buy Christmas for 4 kids. ARGH!
i know. i dont even want to think about christmas right now. im not even worried about presents in the least at this point, i just want them to have a nice tree and some fun you know. hopefully everything gets better.
I talked to Joe and he wouldnt let me send anything. We are very poor and struggling right now too and we just simply can't spare a dime. I literally have 68 dollars cash to last me two weeks because of a ton of other bills we have due. Its a hard time of year for everyone.
You have children and will not go hungry. I may sound harsh but swallow your pride and apply for any kind of assistance you can. Heating assistance, rent assistance, etc are probably available to you.
Take them to that dinner. Call churches and food banks. You will qualify for free food.
Stop any not needed expenses such as cable or internet if you feel you cannot afford basic needs.
You are a good mama. don't ever think less of yourself. Just do what you have to do. Your kids come first.
oh i dont think you are being harsh at all. i wish we could qualify for some help but we for sure dont. i tried to get some help a few months ago and was told that i was "way" over thier limits. which is insane seeing that i have 3 children, and a high rent to pay. whatever. normally we get by just fine, its just been tight this year and i fucked up our budgeting. I have to keep the internet connection so i can do school but other than that we have already cut back everything possible, including, heartbreakingly, taking esme out of school. i know its going to get better but i just feel like things are so dark right now
What the fuck? How can you be over the limit if you are a student and obviously don't have enough to make ends meet. WHAT THE FUCK is wrong with the system? I feel terrible that I can't help. I could in two weeks if you'd still need it. That would be payday for both of us.
You are not a terrible mother Joy! I too wish I could help but my man's current joblessness means we are just barely paying rent and definately not buying anything that's not food. How is it that everyone is struggling all at once? maybe the whole world has bad money feng sui or something. heres hoping for a big turn around. wish i could help!!!so frustrating! xoxoxo
