Wow, last time I posted in here was exactly one year ago. Life update: Still working full-time, still living with the 'rents and building my savings, still dating Rudy, spending most of my free time playing Magic or Guitar Hero on the Wii, haven't knitted for a while

Oh, hey, if you're driving from Chicago...you should drag Jonathan with you! (Or, you could, you know, kidnap him, if he says he's too busy... But actually, I don't think he has any good reason why he couldn't go, since he finishes his last big exam on Tuesday...)

I talked to him yesterday and he wasn't interested in the staying for a week part. I kind of want to make this longer than a weekend though since I've been away 2 years and want to spend quality time with the people and places I love while I have some PTO time to burn. My dad says I should just fly...I did find roundtrip last-minute airfare for about $300 if I go out there Thursday or Friday and return the following weekend. The shorter time spent in transit is a bonus, but I don't know how well living out of light baggage and dragging that around everywhere is going to work. My car has good enough MPG that the travel costs will work out about the same either way I think, but I'm not factoring in the future cost of wear-and-tear, so I dunno.
