yeah, although I didn't have a chance to attend the play, from what I read (including reviews, fan-reports, translations of the pamphlet), it was something personal, like with some of the essays and poems included and such things, so obviously, he's more attached to it than to any other production where you just play a given part or something.
I kinda think he's pushing it to think he'll be able to get everyone who's going to his play to be 100% attentive :/I see what you mean here, and from my experience about performing/speaking/doing something in front of a large crowd of people, I know for sure that not all of them are 100% attentive, that's kinda normal I think (just like me wandering of in thoughts when a professor is speaking at university for instance), but things like, coming into the hall towards the end, and mobile phones ringing and shouting something to him...that are things you would think people could do without, even if not being into what they are watching or not really caring
( ... )
Yeah, reading about those people makes me kinda irritated for another reason though. Like, I think I'd appreciate it so much more, even though my Japanese is still limited :P EXACTLY why I wrote I was sad and upset about that, because they got to go just like that, and I didn't because I don't have that sort of money to just fly there any time something like this happens (I wish i had). And I'd have given a lot to be able to go see it (just like "Seminar"), and not behave like that.
I hope for him that he get's to do another play someday (be it a self-produced solo thing or something liek Seminar), although it will probably make me sad again, due to not being able to go see it. :/
Poor Shige. =( This made me hope that there's a DVD release so the overseas fans can watch it and perhaps send him a fanletter telling how we felt about the play. *sighs*
hehe, I'm sure Shige would have appreciated an audience like you <3 and YAY for the list being complete (It bug me in real life as well, when there is something incomplete...lol).
and yeah I could practically picture him ranting to himself at home or so when I read this. >.< Understandable though, which is why I was glad to see he ended it on a sweet note, and didn't leave the reader hanging in that upset emotion. :)

As much a I wish for a DVD release, I made my peace with the thought that there probably won't be one. BUT....one can always hope, right?! :)
