Summer kicked off on this great day and I decided to commemorate by maybe getting some stuff done for a change, leading up to a nice little agenda ( Read more... )

I completely relate to your deliberation. And the unnerving feeling of rejection.

Next time will be better! *hugs*

Jha!

er...um...I certainly hope next time will be better, too. Deliberation is a curse, but it's also a blessing; funny, if I'd stopped and thought about this a bit more this post might not even have existed...Anyway, nice hearing from you! :D Hope things are going smoothly on your end, blahblahblah.

Look at it this way, since she gave you her number...she must've been somewhat interested. I bet that if she was not seeing someone at the time...you would of gotten your date.

Don't fret on it =), it happens to the best of us.
and I just have to ask, was she a model? ;)

The sound of her saying that still unnerves me, but I'm largely over it now (like 5 days later, haha...) Thanks for your kind words, though.

And no, she wasn't a model (hahaha...) I mean, she has the looks and all---in my opinion, anyway---but she's pretty short. That's to say, height's a big thing with models, right? I remember hearing that somewhere but the people I've associated with in the past would more or less disprove that notion. Well, okay, it looks like I just answered my own question...sort of.

Height depends on what type of modeling you want to get into. (like for print...you can be pretty short, but for runway...you gotta have height.)

Don't dwell on it, at least the models luv ya still.

She could have at least let you try to ask instead of pulling that preemptive bullshit. She sounds like one of those women who thinks every guy wants to ask her out. You should have fired back with some of that classic Gerk sarcasm. That'll show 'er.

Well, she knew that's what I was leading up to and I knew that she knew; in days past we showed a clear interest in each other, but apparently if she's "seeing" somebody then even being friends would be out of the question. Granted, friends don't ask friends out in such an unprecedented manner, but her general demeanor towards me now is far south of friendly.

I have this really weird complex regarding needing to talk to girls (and I mean "talk to" girls) one-on-one. There was someone she was with earlier coming just as the post's dialogue was happening, and my level of comfort was steadily dropping. The scenario was neither a time nor place for any manner of wit.

It sucks, but it's true!
