Clark: “Look, I got held up at work…I finished one thing Lois, and something else would come up.”

Lois: “Look, I get it … you have other things on your mind. I don’t expect to be the person at the top of your priority list.”

hi,

i was just reading through random entries and yours started me thinking so i decided to comment. your choice to link the issue of priorities to smallville seemed to me to b a good analogy.

i think your view of our priorities could also be linked to the commitments we make and why we make these committments such as "being able to pick up a friend from the airport" when we know that we will only offer an excuse to avoid the commitment we have made at a later date.

Hey Germaine,
Just wanted to say I enjoyed your entry this week, simply because your style of writing is easily understandable and unique to others I have read. (i also like the quote at the begginning idea, i might just have to steal that !) I also agree with you here about your view on priorities which in this day and age like you mentioned can be out of place and often can lead to neglecting friendships and relationships due to focus on career and work.
Another thing i agree with is that becuase of our hecktik lives its harder to prioritise the commitments that are most important to us.
Good observations form Smallville lol
