new pup 8 weeks

Hi everyone

Just joined this community. I got a new puppy who is half shepherd half rotti. I think she will look more shepherd. At the moment she is keeping me awake with her crying. She is not liking her kennel at all. I was just wondering if anyone has some tips they could pass along that would help her get used to it.

Oh my god, she looks SO much like my shepherd girl Tier did when she was a pup, she's definitely got a fair amount of shepherd in there, haha.

I'm not sure what to say, my girl always liked her kennel. I tried in the day to make it a place of no consequence, that she liked. I never made a big deal out of putting her in, just called her to it, put her in, and then gave her a treat and left, so it would be a normal type thing for her, nothing special.

I found she cried a little at night- I ignored her, but I found that moving the kennel closer to my bed helped? She was fine when she could see me and smell me. Other than that... maybe put an old shirt that smells like you in there with her, so she feels safe and happy? :)

thanks, i wasnt sure if she would grow up to look like the shepherd. Im going to move the kennel into my room. I made the spare room the dogs room but she can stay with me intil shes older. :)
