does anyone know of a community on here to aide one in learning German? I don't have anyone I can speak with regularly on the intnernet or localy and if I did it would definitley help with the learning and semi-immersion.

these are my german language communities, besides this one: de_translate, deutsch_chatten, from_us_to_de, and kkennenlernen. You should also check out sharedtalk.com; you can meet people from other countries who are interested in learning other languages, and email or chat with them. There are plenty of native German speakers who are willing to help someone who'll help them practice their English.

Yeah "Könnten Sie mir bitte helfen?" is very polite, but it's okay if you just write "Helfen Sie mir bitte!" or just "Bitte helft mir!".
I could help you a little bit in German language and you might help me a bit in English?
My English is not that good... ^^°
