Damn. Both Bergman and Antonioni reported dead within the last 24 hours. Essentially those were the two whose movies sucked me into all this classic cinema geekiness. indeed, "la notte" was one of the key films that inspired my current ongoing love of 50s-70s classic "art" cinema (...and let me take the opportunity to say thanks for your guidance here!). i love antonioni too, and i'm also happy i haven't seen all his classics yet. in any case, "la notte" (next to "the passenger") is still my favourite
