It may be too late, but in an effort to save my sanity and not go off on the wrong person AND to remember that I am on the Internet for fun, I resolve to not:

Click, read, link, suggest, review, peruse or comment on any entry that uses the following words/phrases.  I will move on.  I will not get into a discussion on any of the following:

i have read your posts and stories for YEARS, going way back to yahoo groups, so i KNOW you, and i KNOW you believe in social activism, and i KNOW you are in NO WAY a racist.

i am not sure you realize, though, that the very fact that you have the choice about not dealing with any of those issues is a form of white privilege. PoC can't move away from these issues because they deal with them every day in all of their day-to-day activities.

i realize this is your lj and it will be about whatever you want it to be about, but i just wanted you to know, because you ARE a good person.

(also: i give you my cat norman in my icon, because she was sooooo cute!!)

Norman is very cute (and a great name!), however, his burning laser eyes my be a bit disconcerting to the casual visitor :-)
