I don't think of electronics as a treat - they're more like appliances. Jewelry definitely comes under the heading of special treat. So does art. Shoes, hmm, they can be. Special dinners/foods - I've spent hundreds of dollars on dinner and they were treats, too. Pieces of furniture, too. Trips? Yup. All over $100. Life is 'spensive - damn it *g*.

It totally depends on what the item is. I'll spend several hundred dollars on art (but I have to really like it), maybe up to $50 on a really special piece of clothing. Note the 'maybe'; for me, clothing is functional, rather than decorative, and I usually go for cheap, attractive (in my eyes), and functional.

Shoes and jewelry don't do a thing for me. I like to look at jewelry, but seldom wear it myself. I'll splurge a little as a gift for a friend -- up to $100. More than that, they can buy it themselves. *g*

My biggest treat is season-sets of TV-show DVDs, and I'll pay whatever the going rate is. My question is, do I have enough 'extra' this month, or do I have to wait a while?

It totally depends on a person's budget, and what the treat is! After 30 years of buying shoes in thrift stores and Payless, I just bought an incredibly comfortable, totally once-in-a-lifetime pair of SAS shoes for $100.00. After 30 years, it was time for at least one decent pair of shoes!

I pay more for electronic treats. Things like compact DVD players and small LCD HDTVs are definitely over $100.

Shoes, books and earrings tend to be under $100. As for a good watch or purse, I might be willing to go over that amount. It depends.
