It was time to get my hair color updated, I'd let the color/highlights from spring fade. I went in tonight and asked for the same color combination as last time because I loved it. I don't know what he did, but it's AWFUL. It looks too dark and too flat and I was trapped for 2 hours and have NOTHING but worse looking hair to show for it

I've often wondered how our hairdressers can get it right - sometimes - but can never remember how they did it. It's like the great clothes hanger multiplication and the kidnapping of our socks by clothes dryers around the world.
My sympathy goes out to you, babe.
BTW: Can't you make him add highlights now? Anything to lighten it up for you?

I do sympathize---there's nothing that makes your heart sink like seeing your hair in the salon and realizing you hate it.
But yes, you SHOULD demand your money back or a re-cut. I've done that before, and I requested that another stylist fix it.
Also, you can easily have highlights put back in or do them yourself, no matter that it's already dyed.
