This is just guh... I am not the biggest fan of the Donut, but, I'm not one his worst haters... I really like how you have set all this up, and I can't wait to read more of the backstory.

Oh, and you need to give many hugs to synful_trixx she cried on my shoulder a lot while you were MIA.... It totally sucks that you just missed Nano... Oh well... now you can start posting... SCORE!!!!

I looooooove new Logan in Season 3. Especially the, "And even now as you're thinking, crap, he has a point, you are sure that you are right." That seems like the epitomy of L/V to me, and so much like the Logan I have been writing. More mature and insightful, but still not afraid to be a jack ass. *smirks* And then the speech about being tired of failure and going for the bearable pain. *snuggles Logan*

I do feel bad that I deserted our lovely Trixx. It felt kind of like an abduction by aliens, but I don't think the aliens would have given me fake memories of being forced to do Christmas crafts with three small children. At least she hit it on Nano. I'm so proud!

Another post should be up soon. I have to finish a couple of scenes for Chapt. 5 and squeeze in a prompt or two, and then I go postal. Or um, I mean, I post. *winks*

Awesome! I did a little dance when I noticed you updated. Sucks that you missed Nano by that slim a margin. The update was awesome! And it's obvious you don't like the Donut. *lol* I like him in canon, not sure I like him here, but I'm probably gonna hold onto my like until he does something bad.
I love the Veronica and Logan you portray. I really really hope there's a chance they can grow into something like that in canon. ;)

I have a deep and unreasonable hatred for the Donut. I think this fic is going to be my therapy, because I am trying to write him sympathetically and it is HARD.

I have been really impressed with this season's canon Logan, though canon V has been sort of a bitch. We'll see what RT has up his wicked sleeves.

I'm not sure about Duncan either. I really hate him, and I would have never let him into this fic, but I just couldn't come up with a good mystery. And then there he was, and he promised, promised his mystery would be fantastic, and he weaseled his way in. *shrugs* What can you do? I may have to torture him a little though, you know, just so he doesn't get the idea that I actually like him.

Anyways, Duncan. As long as he knows that Veronica is Logan's and has noooo chance whatsoever with her, then I won't mind him too much. Torture away...like maybe have Logan & Veronica all over each other or something. Oh wait...they are already over each other. Is there going to be roll playing again soon?? Cause you do that so well! *laughs*

Whee, I loved it! As for Duncan's motivations, Logan is right to be suspicious! Especially when Duncan won't even admit to himself what his motivations are...it's a lot easier for Duncan to lie to Logan and say it's not about Veronica when Donut's probably lying to himself at the same time. As for wife#1 not getting Logan's slippers, that's just typical! Hee. I hope that puppy hides out at Logan & Veronica's for a while before they give him/her to Alicia and Keith. I loved how Wallace tried to reassure Logan because of course, Logan is crazy for worrying that Veronica never chose him when Veronica would choose him each time, every time. I also loved that the 'Munchkin' was protective of Logan & Veronica's relationship as well and instinctively dislikes Donut because she saw him eyeing Veronica. Hee. Good Munchkin!

Favorite parts:

"Oh my god! It is a pony!" She threw her arms around him, smothering him in kisses, still laughing at chocolate horse. "I can't believe you really got me a pony! Finally, after all of these years of not so subtle hints." Sometimes it astounded her, that Logan knew her so well. He could get her something so small and yet make it seem like the whole world had lit up. "This is perfect, since I was about to declare tonight a dessert for dinner night. My pony can trot up fudge mountain before I bite his little hooves off."

"You are a blood thirsty wench, aren't you?" teased Logan, wrapping his arms tightly around her. He hoped he would never lose this feeling, the bright shiny gratefulness to just hold her.

Veronica got a Pony (chocolate one at that) - Logan rocks.

After a long pause, Logan spoke again. Told Wallace the deepest fear in his heart. "She never chose me over him. I only ever had a chance at her because he was gone."

Awwwww... and Wallace is all supportive... awwww...

There wasn't room in her life for an adult Duncan. She kept the memory of the boy Duncan safely stored away in some dusty corner of her heart, and she wished he would just crawl back in his box. Things with Logan were still too fragile, the new Logan was too fragile, and she wasn't about to risk it for a ghost from their past.

I forgot to include that I love that Veronica realizes that Duncan's presence is a possible threat to Logan, and to her relationship with Logan.
