I've been online for a few hours now trying to track all this drama. In case you are unaware of what is occuring, here is a good recap:
http://liz-marcs.livejournal.com/266024.html CNET also has a story:

Here's what I've found to be the most comprehensive list of TOS'd journals:
http://pedoblogtracker.blogspot.com/ Some highlights for me:
Even Pedophilia watchgroups think LJ is stupid!
http://www.perverted-justice.com/ From the CNET article, here's a quote from LJ TPTB...
"Our decision here was not based on pure legal issues," countered Six Apart's Berkowitz. "It was based on what community we want to build and what we think is appropriate within that community and what's not. We have an awful broad range of discussions and topics and other things going on in LiveJournal, and we encourage other broad-ranging conversations on all sorts of topics. This was a specific case where we felt there was not a reason (for these journals to stay online)."
Berkowitz said the company would "obviously apologize" to anyone whose journal was deleted in error but added: "That's going to be a very small minority of the sites. I would be shocked if it's more than a dozen."
Umm.. you don't want fandom that might be squicky to some people? You don't want literary discussion groups? You don't want support groups for survivors of sexual abuse?
I guarantee that if you don't want fandom around, it will go elsewhere. You are going to lose money and the community you are concerned with upholding will take a big hit. It's insulting to fandom, whether you enjoy adult fiction and art or not, to be treated this way.
Things are brewing in fandom. I am by in no means a player in any of this, I am just offended by LJs treatment of its customers and will be keeping a close eye on what fandom will be doing in response to this situation.
This leads me to
fandom_counts. It's a community solely to tally fandom based LJ users, hopefully to give LJ an idea of the number of customers it's pissed off. Join if you are so minded.
The Wrap Up.
Keep an eye on communities and users who have taken their journals elsewhere:
