It seems as though things are recovering well, even given all the pressure and tension created by that pirate fiasco. Such is the nature of things, though...always moving, and recovering, if need be.

...Speaking of which, this place has a good spring. It's too late to plant a lot of things, but I wonder if I could see about some of the local flora. ( Read more... )

ideas for a shop maybe, congeries, more pirates

Being on a planet that has seasons takes some getting used to, but while there isn't a florist shop, I've located a few that sell seeds and garden supplies. Maybe someone just needs to actually set one up?

I don't think anyone's very sure of their alliances right now.

Ah, you must be from another...well, another planet, but then I think we all are. Still what kind of a planet doesn't have seasons? All planets have an orbit, right?

And, those shops. If you also haven't found a florist I think it's okay to assume that there isn't one. ...So I think I will. It'll be easier, too, if seeds and supplies are already available! Haha, thank you very much for the information!

I think you're right, really. And we're not helping, I know....but there is so much going on, isn't there? Unfortunately, I think a lot of people came here to avoid exactly this.

I'm originally from Tatooine, but I've spent most of my life on Coruscant when I'm not space-borne. Lots of planets don't have varying seasons. Tatooine, for example, is a desert world. Hot all the time. Of course, the twin suns help with that a lot...

No, we're really not. And that's the problem. Something I've been meaning to bring up with Prussia.

Coruscant...? Ah, I've heard of it! Though not this Tatooine...I can't imagine a planet with twin suns being conducive to...any kind of foliage...Or human life, but humans have settled places that are just as...inconvenient (harsh?), to be sure.

Prussia... He has everyone's best interest at heart, even if he does not show it well. Still, we shouldn't be causing any conflict, I think. Or really have much say since this place does well enough on it's own, even if I don't agree with the council's decision... Um, just. I'm for people's self-determination. it's nice not to have to worry too much about those above or allies or

A florist shop?

Mm. Well, when things settle down, I would like to open one, given that there doesn't seem to be one here already.

Really? I used to grow flowers back home. If you'd like, I'd be happy to help!

Really? It would be nice to have help, especially since there are many foreign flora around here. I guess that is just the nature of this place, though!

H-however, if there are profits there will definitely be a guest. Just as a...fair warning, um.... Ah, right! Excuse me, my name is Toris Laurinaitis, though I am also known as the country-you've-most-likely-never-heard-of Lithuania.

You plan to sell flowers? I have a friend who will appreciate that.

Yes, something like that! So, this person enjoys plants?

He is quite passionate about roses. He's spoken to me about wanting a garden in his home, but I'm afraid he doesn't know how to go about it.

Roses? Well, does he have land? Right now is a pretty good time to plant some bulbs. But if he has no land...I'd suggest a plant box or a pot?

It is.. pretty. I've never really seen spring before. How is it like on your planet?

Y-you haven't? That's very unfortunate...but at least you may now? And you'll even remember your first "real" spring...? As for Earth, it depends on where you are since climate makes a difference, but things begin to warm up, and the land revives after the dead months. Green becomes abundance, and many places in the countryside become replete with dozens of different coloured wildflowers. And people come out, too, and have open-air celebrations with wonderful folk music. ...It's a good time.

I haven't, but I'm looking forward to it. I will remember it well. I grew up indoors mostly, on various out-of-the-way worlds and on my dad's ship. Not much of an opportunity to see the seasons change. But the warmer air is a relief.

You know, that sounds really nice. I think I'll have to visit your planet sometime. Maybe next spring.

Anyway, what have you been up to since the last time we wrote?

Ah! You must have had a very...nomadic childhood. It's nice, when one is finally able to settle down and see the seasons change the land. And the warm air...it makes it more of a relief, especially after a long, hard winter.

Earth is a lovely place! Just...be careful around Europe. Russia's, um, sort of invaded most of the other countries.

As for me...Well, I have been alive! Good as anyone can expect, right? How about yourself?
