Has anyone ever had experiences with Eastern/chinese medicine? Eg: Acupuncture and herbal remedies?

If so....waste of money? Or the best thing you ever did?

when I was relocating back to toronto I was going through the worst stress in my life... I was getting ulcer pain and crazy stress hives every day. So I decided to try acupuncture because i knew a guy who practices. It was amazing afterwards... for about a day then I needed it again I think. But it's worth a try I think, it helped.

Hmmm. I want a cure not pain releief. They tell you on consultation that they can provide that (at what seesm like a huge financial cost) then as you are signing the papers advise they can't gaurantee anything.

Which makes sceptical Jamie come out.

It's good to question everything... especially in medicine.

Send me money, I can heal and unstress from distance through the magic of t3h intarwubz!

Jokes aside, I never tried acupuncture but know people who did. While not exactly healing it does seem to help with pain relief. Better than pumping oneself full of painkillers, I'd say.

The worst it can do it put me out of pocket by £70 a week for a potential 2-3 months course.

I'm looking for anything now as help as the pain is making me want to walk in front of a train about 70% of the time. I just don't know wether I have any faith in trust in somehting like a high street chinese doctor. I never see ANYONE in these places and then they tell you they can help..at a HUGE finicnial cost.
