we did snorkeling at this kick ass spot when we were in PR- sting ray bay or some shit, and the water salinity was so high that they didn't even give us life jackets to keep us afloat. cement would fucking float in this water it was that salty.
it was great, very liberating to not have pounds of gear to struggle against, and because you really don't even have to TRY to swim or float, it's very relaxing, low energy expenditure.
i got the worst fucking sunburn on my back because we were out there all day and the water was jsut the right temperature to keep you cool and forget that a blazing hot sun is beating across your uncovered back. mine was glowing red and i had a nice bikini line across it that was pale pale white.
