Okay, so this is the year for the Star Trek retrospective - at this point I see this as working out to a brief history of a NZ fangirl ie me, plus a 'this is why Kirk/Spock are an Ur-slash couple' presentation. That part will need careful negotiation with my eldest who has certain technical skills I will need. Wish me luck.
Also, can I request a Blake's 7 vid if any of the vid show organisers can find an appropriate one, in honour of Jacquie Pearce who passed away this week.

I am indeed enthused. I loved your Thirty Years Before the Mast so much, and Thirty Years in the Captain's Ready Room will be just as great. I did Star Trek For Noobs when STXI first came out, but I'm very much an intermediate person on the timeline.

After last year's 'wow' responses to the thought that Bodie & Doyle were at least an inspiration for Nico and Philip in the Points novels (and there is a new one out this year, and I'm currently doing a complete re-read) - I could do a quick overview of the books? Maybe 10 minutes.
