I'm not going up against this by any means at all, but what is the difference?

I'm a tad confused with this community, am I a mod or what? It says in the member listing that I am, but am I not allowed to approve promoting or be listed as a mod in the info above the member list?

If some could let me know that would be greatly appreciated.

You are not a moderator. After your name in the members' list, it states that you are a former moderator. I am a "new" mod and do not know when your mod status was taken away ( ... )
