We have only just passed the time of Lughnasadh, the first of the Autumn harvest festivals. In ancient times this was viewed as a prime point in the year to arrange winter lodgings and marriages, and over time became a very popular time to schedule handfastings and other ceremonies. ...Dancing naked is part of the tradition?

[Translation: Do we have to participate? Or can we just watch?]

It's part of some traditions. Used preferentially during other festivals, of course, but many of the gatherings I attend involve an optional event; we rather enjoy the freedom.

I'm comfort-baking until the Flood ends or Parker kicks me out of the kitchen. Any requests?

Any number of things would be seasonally appropriate. Grains of all kinds -- corn, breads baked. For fruits and vegetables, strawberries, gooseberries, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, turnips -- all sorts of things, really. Meats like lamb, chicken, rabbit, crab...

You could get very creative.

I'll break out the fried chicken and wedges, cornbread and strawberry pie. They're all things I'd promised friends I'd learn to cook anyway!
