I'm in the kitchen, and other than the dining hall there doesn't seem to be...well, anything else here. There's nothing outside the door and none of us here can step past it. Does anyone know what's happened?

...I can't say how permanent this is, but last I checked, the greenhouse was still fine. If this keeps going for longer than a day, there ( Read more... )

Probably for the better. Heard there weren't very nice things in there.

[Zuko isn't... panicking, per say, so much as just extremely pissed off and trying - and failing - to hide it. He's done the trying to step past it thing a couple times, and even went as far as shooting some fire at it, frustrated, and eventually just wanders over to talk to Frances.]

What are we supposed to do if this is permanent?

[Frances is concerned, but remarkably calm. Even on opening the door, there's an odd circulation of stars and mists, but it's quiet and forbidden. She shuts it and turns off her communicator.]

Then we have access to the pantry and we'll be perfectly fine...if a little uncomfortable. I don't think it will be.

What makes you so sure? [Grouch grouch grouch.] We should be out there helping instead of getting stuck in here. How did this even happen, anyway? Did you see the Barge when you looked out the door?

Call it women's intuition.

[She wanders back to the table where she's been compiling ingredients to bake a cake. Flour, sugar, cocoa, eggs, butter, applesauce, ricotta...]

I saw a lot of confusing nothing, if you must know.

[Frances glances up at the ceiling and around them as she beats the cake batter with a whisk.]

But can't you feel it? We're not falling through space. There's nothing climbing in. None of those faceless creatures.

I think we're safe. We'll be back with everyone else soon enough.

Since you're still connected to the Network, this might just be a trick of some kind.

I'm not sure that's what it is. But I feel good reason to doubt it.
