I thought it was funny. What's popular culture without a little critizism? And In 50 Cent's case, a heck of a lot of critizism is needed. I mean, if he's still going after being shot like 9 times, it's going to take some pretty strong words to finally get him to stop polluting our youth with his crap music.
True, I am the youth- I am only a small percentage of the youth, but I am part of that group none the less. And this member of the youth choses to believe that not only is rap destroying impressionable children's view on what should be considered right and wrong (drugs, sex, drinking, guns, violence, etc), 50 Cent's music is doing absolutely nothing to help change this. Rather, he's promoting things like those in his own videos.
Granted, other types of music do this as well, but certainly not to that extent, and the other types of music aren't the ones in question.
ok honestly. what the fuck is your problem? You obviously don't agree with me on anything so why even bother wasting your time reading things I write? Yes, I hate fifty cent because I think he should stop objectifying women. Him and Eminem could go have anal sex with eachother for all I care. Oh hey, you could join them. Disagree with me all you want.
How is 50-Cent objectifying women anymore than Brody Dalle does when she dresses like a skank in videos? It's not like someone's holding a gun to the girl's head, saying "Dance around and look hot, in this video, you whore. Dance around and we'll pay you tons of money and you'll be affiliated with one of the hottest celebrities out there right now. Oh, and you'll also probably garner some recognition in a really hard business to break into." It's their choice to do it and if it works for them, how is that not empowering?
Oh, and on the other hand, Eminem has shitty lyrics and boring beats. So I guess we agree on that.
alright. Fine. Im not looking to start some big controversy with you. I do realize I said I hated rap music. That's not true. I don't really listen to it, but I don't hate it. So im sorry if that statement offended you. Also, Im talking more about the lyrics of his songs, not so much the music videos. "I'll let you lick the lolly pop". Lyrics like that aren't really my thing, but if you like it, then thats cool. I don't like it, and thats simply my opinion. We obviously have completly different opinions on music, and I won't argue about it anymore.
The thing that really pisses me off about you, is that if a group of people from the 'scene' started to like 50 cent, then you would too. Have you own opinion on music. Be open minded. You're just such a follower.
Wow. Have you even had a conversation with me? Do you know what I'm like? and how the fuck do you know that if people from "the scene" started liking 50 cent I would like him to. I know alot of people who like 50 cent, and I personally don't like him. So there goes one of your points.
"Have you own opinion on music." Excuse Me? Is that not what Im doing right now?
So hey, before you trash talk me for being a follower, why don't you talk to me first and actually find out what Im like instead of making some lame assumption. Deal?
