If you like odd brain things you should read oliver sacks "the man who mistook his wife for a hat", it has a few odd brain blips, its short case studies but all very interesting.

Have you heard of blindsight before? Where one pathway from brain to eye is gone but the other one remains, but you are convinced you are blind!
