I hate them, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them!!!

*Ahem, if you USE the SUVs for their intended towing purpose, or you actually need nine seats (my family at one point did, although we refused to buy one) you're not ( Read more... )

I did nothing but nod my head when I read that.

I get cut off on average of three to four times a day, 95% SUVs.

I was without electricity for most of Saturday because somebody in their SUV who is unacquainted with our fractal of a mountain road and didn't realize that it really *is* a good idea to slow down when the road bends double every 20 years took out one of the power lines. Smashed the pole, his car, and a bank of mailboxes by the side of the road.

Now, I'm sure this person was perfectly well-protected inside their tank of a vehicle. And I'm also hoping that this person is sufficiently well-insured to pay for all of the damages, because 4 days of a PG&E crew replacing a downed power pole ain't cheap. Not to mention replacing the 4 mailboxes this person destroyed.

And I am fairly certain that they're not going to be able to drive down our street anymore without being heavily egged by the locals.

Oh god that's awful. The offramp at my work has an accident about once a week, 90% of the time, an SUV has totaled another car. I'm called cruel for thinking this, but I think it's completely unfair for people driving those monstrocities to not have to face the damages and fatalities that those in normal cars do. It's not a matter of someone buying a safer car, it's a matter of someone driving a killing machine.

We should require that SUVs be made out of tin... just to make things fair.

I always thought that if someone who can drive on a normal road, but has never driven on a mountain road like yours should be required to learn how to drive correctly before they're even allowed to drive through. I'm afraid of heights so I'll probably be one who'll piss those who've been driving on that kind of road at a veeeeeeery slow rate of speed. If I'm ever to pass through your street, just remember NOT to throw any eggs at me(and pass this on to your neighbors)since I'll be driving slowly. Instead throw some confetti my way as a way of thanking me for driving properly.

The one thing I've seen so far is that dickheads are dickheads, no matter what they're driving. The SUV just gives them more to hit ya with. Myself and my security in, well, myself will both be happy with my Saturn, thankye.

Although they don't really hold up too well when a truck hits 'em... seen that one for myself.

I'd have to disagree a little bit. Normal people I knew who had a LEANING to being an ass on the road, their urges were completely let loose once behind the wheel of an intimidating SUV.

Those H2 stretch limos are ugly as SHIT!!! I've seen them before. Girl if I were you, I'd be laughing maniacally a la Sylvia Miles from the movie She Devil instead. Some of those things are ugly as hell anyhow. Mostly it's either the Chevy or GMC SUVs that are ugly. The Dodge SUVs are ugly as well. This is OT, but I also think the Dodge Ram 1500 that I've seen out on the road are ugly as well. They look like they were built for running people and animals over with, not to mention ruining other people's cars(those of us who ACTUALLY drive a car) with dents or totaling them completely. Almost every time some one has passed me while driving has been in an SUV or a huge, jacked up truck. Once they passed me, I would always mutter "Hmmmph. Think you much better than me in your gas guzzling SUV huh?" When I was driving back from my doctor's appointment last month, my mother and I saw a driver in his SUV almost tip over since he was performing some kind of trick while driving along a curve. Idiot(the driver).
