I placed a long overdue phone call today, after several weeks of hiding out. Hiding mostly from a sense of fear, of loss...of change. After the fact, those fears seem so ridiculous, so unwarranted. This weekend, Heather blew up. The age and distance caught up with her at Melrose and Highland...at an idle speed she began puffing white billows of smoke and stuttering as her gages read hot.
