✰ Confused!Sam for nomorevengeance , requested at this meme, which I’m still taking requests for.
✰ The one where Sam can’t comprehend Anya’s hate for bunnies.
✰ Anya is nomorevengeance and is used with love and permission. The briefly mentioned Claire is autophoenix .

Sam and Dean were still in New York City when Easter finally came around, which Sam was really grateful for. Claire had invited them to the Petrelli Easter lunch and he had promised her he’d be there. While he knew she’d understand if he couldn’t make it (he couldn’t exactly ask Lucifer to wait until the weekend was over), he also knew she would be really disappointed and would try, but fail, to hide that disappointment from him. But there was nothing forcing them to leave the city and no visits from Lucifer, because he was probably too busy making elaborate plans that he thought would make Sam say ‘yes’, so they could make the lunch.

Being in New York, Sam was able to go to a proper shop to buy Claire’s present, not some crappy corner store or gas station like he usually has to. As he left the shop in SoHo with a big basket full of quality chocolates and a big stuffed bunny, he had the biggest grin plastered on his face. But he was also really nervous. He wanted to impress Angela and fit in at the family Easter so badly, his stomach filled with butterflies just at the thought.

“NO!” Sam’s thoughts were interrupted by the shrill voice of a girl. The voice sounded a little familiar, but he couldn’t quite place who it would belong to. Until he turned around and came face to face with Anya, the ex-vengeance demon.

They stood there looking at each other for a brief moment. Anya’s horrified face, like she had just seen a ghost, was juxtaposed with Sam’s surprised, yet confused one. The one that made his puppy features look like he was really, really struggling.

“Anya? What are you doing here?” When it came to Anya, that question really shouldn’t need to be uttered. She was just always there when it was least expected and no one questioned it. To Sam, and probably others, she was a little bizarre, so that was reason enough. Recently, she had been there whenever Sam had been talking about sex or something similar. Which was actually a little worrying to him.

“That doesn’t matter,” Anya placed her hands on her hips as she gave Sam a disappointed look, “What are you doing with… that?!” She jabbed a finger at the bunny, but kept her distance.

“It’s Claire’s present… it’s just a bunny.” Sam frowned some more, not sure where Anya was going with this. But that wasn’t surprising when she always managed to confuse him.

“Exactly! It’s evil. It’s got hoppy legs and a twitchy little nose. And what’s with all the carrots? What do they need such good eye sight for anyways? It’s evil and you should get rid of it.” Anya had to take a deep breath after her long spiel as she had forgotten to breathe. Sam swore part of it was said to a kind of tune, like she had taken the lyrics from a song or something.

Sam was dumbfounded. All he could do was look at her with his retarded puppy look. His faced was scrunched up slightly like as if someone had just farted in his face.

“Anya… it’s just a bunny,” Sam repeated, unable to come up with anything else.

The rest of the conversation continued in the same way. Anya kept on voicing her thoughts on the evil that is bunnies, while Sam just could not comprehend her or her logic. When they finally parted ways, Sam left feeling confused and really uncomfortable.

At least he wasn’t nervous anymore.
