Sorry to hear all this. That's a huge bummer. Someone threw a brick through Marty's windshield on Mother's Day, and we didn't find out until we were all ready to drive out to C.L./McHenry to see our moms. And by then, it had been raining for hours, so not only was his window busted and his car full of glass, but it was soaked, too. We were pretty lucky, though, 'cause we just had to clean (and dry) out the car and replace the window...
Generally, I find that when you think your life is going in the right direction, a whole bunch of bad stuff will happen to put you back in your place. You found someone to marry, so of course your car got vandalized. Next up, they'll bomb your house and stomp on your cat. Then the trifecta of awful things will be over, and you'll start to rebuild. And just when you think you've got it all under control...
No, seriously, though, I hope you get the car stuff worked out, and I hope some good stuff happens to you soon.
Congratulations on having the suckiest week of all of us. I hate having personal property trespassed upon. I'm glad you caught them before they made off with the car.
I say get an appraisal of the car. Depending upon how much the insurance covers, you may be able to get it repaired. Like Ian said, wait for AAA to figure this out.
