I lost faith in Sarah Silverman when she used a racial pejorative against Asians on Conan O'Brien five or six years back. Though it wasn't out of hatred, it was devoid of irony. Most comedians know when they've made an incendiary remark and follow up with "I know, I'm horrible" self-deprecation. (case in point: Tina Fey.) Silverman seemed altogether amused with herself with making the remark and I sort of felt awkward just watching.
