I like this. Usually runaway fics (is this even correct) deals with the one who did the disappearing act, so it's refreshing to see it from the perspective of the one left behind. The emotion is realistic with the situation, and the last line really drives it home, for life has to go on regardless of how it hurts to actually move on.

Definitely memming this.
