Argh. Somehow, I managed to screw up the network settings on Solaris, so that it connects to the wireless network, sends information, but receives 0. Can't use the web, in other words (

Hey. For connecting two computers directly together, you need to have crossover cable. You'll have to make it yourself or find someone who can.
Basically, there's eight wires inside a standard twisted pair ethernet cord.
One is send, one is receive. In a crossover cable, those two are switched around at one end.
Normal ethernet cords will not work for this.
