Seattle housing costs?

Does anybody reading this live in Seattle? If so, can you briefly mention what sort of place you have, and how much it costs? I'm trying to get an estimate of the cost of living in the region.

Thanks.

Gopi, Raphael and I are probably going to move to Seattle in a month so he can work for a company downtown there. We have yet to decide what area to live in, though Bainbridge Island sounds nice. We're not sure whether to rush into renting a house initially, or stay somewhere temporarily while getting a feel for the city.

I think it's only 30 or 35 minutes, and the ferry has _wifi_. Also, the office would be walking distance from the ferry downtown.

I'll definitely let you know when we're next in Seattle. Things are not finalized right now, but I'm optimistic that this week everything will come together.

Also, I don't think that Seattle's geography is more insane than Pittsburgh's. :)

4BR house in Ballard. $2k/month. That seems about average. Why don't you try looking here?

Did you actually get a job offer?

Woot! That would be nifty. We'll probably drive up north some time and visit you too.
