I saw this when it was in theaters. Haven't revisited it yet even though I was gifted with the DVD a few years back. I felt it paled in comparison with The Nightmare Before Christmas and the songs (with the exception of the one Danny Elfman's character sings) weren't nearly as catchy as they could have been.

I thought about mentioning how it wasn't as good as The Nightmare Before Christmas, but what is as good? Nothing is really as good as the original. As a stand alone it was good I felt. It's better than Coraline anyway. :P
