Crikey! I think I've done about 90% of all what you did. It sounds like an excellent way to see in the new year.

Did you see those giant anti-masturbation gloves at the gaol? They look a bit like baseball catcher mitts, but flatter. If I remember rightly, they were put on the bad boys in solitary confinement so that they couldn't get up to no good when they were supposed to be reforming instead.
