The Herald have done a story about the Captioning department's little run-in with the Oxford University Press. They say the ad was pulled a month early, but I understand it was actually only a week. They also suggest quite strongly that the OUP people overreacted, which I agree with (I would), although I can certainly see their point. For the ( Read more... )

I think OED are a big pile of crybabies. If they don't want to be called out on their apostrophes, they shouldn't claim to be the worlds biggest experts, should they?

I thought you were delightful.

Oh, one question - did they use a crappy camera, or did they use an expensive camera and some expensive software to make it look like they'd used a crappy camera?
