I just realized that while LJ support team has fixed my problem of "unknown security error" popping up and then none of the nofitications I specifically created showing up on my notifications page, they restored the notifications I specifically created without any of the notification ways actually being set to notify me. Which is probably why I ( Read more... )

I'm having the same problem. I posted about it a week or so ago but no one responded. What did LJ do? And where did you send your question? Did you just use the ask a question feature in the help section?

Thanks!

Yeah, I just posted at the 'Ask a Question' part of the help section where it has the 'open a support request' thing and filled out their form (which I think was basically just a box where you typed what your problem was, as well as marking my problem as "troubleshooting" I think). I don't know what LJ did exactly, but they sent me this message back, and a day or two later I checked my notifications and they were there again:

Thank you for your report. The unknown security level error has been reported to LiveJournal developers, who will investigate the problem and take the appropriate actions to resolve it. You may wish to watch the lj_releases community at [http://lj_releases.livejournal.com/profile], as any updates or fixes to this problem will be announced there. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Mine are back now too. The must have fixed something site wide. Mine started when I got my new internet service and increased my Firefox security, so I thought it was me. Guess not! Now I can keep track of my porn fills. Huzzah!
