Title:Age Ain't Nothin But A Number

Summary: The rise and fall of the relationship between Chace Crawford and Taylor Momsen

A/N: So I think that this is my favorite chapter so far and I really hope you guys enjoy this so that’s about it short and simple!
Chace and Taylor hadn’t seen each other in a week. Between shooting for the show and them not wanting reality to ruin their seemingly perfect relationship, but they couldn’t cut each other out of their lives so there were phone calls spent talking about their day and flirtatious jokes used to keep their minds off of the drama that needed to be dealt with in the outside world.
Taylor was on her way to the set to shoot her scenes for the day when her phone vibrated in her pocket. Taylor gave a confused look when she saw an unrecognizable number calling her phone.
“Hello?”
“Taylor darling this is Lori I don’t know if you remember me but I’m Chace’s manager, we met awhile back.”
“No I remember you…” Now Taylor was really confused
“You’re probably wondering why I’m calling.”
“Yeah…”
“Look I know about you and Chace’s relationship and-“Taylor cut her off not knowing where this was going and not really wanting to deal with this now.
“I don’t know-“
“Chace told me everything.”
“Oh” Taylor sighed really not wanting to deal with this right now
“I know that this is personal and I’m not telling you what to do but Chace hasn’t been answering my calls and you were my last option.”
“I don’t understand”
“I get that this relationship is important to you two and I wish this wasn’t happening to you guys because Chace seems really happy, but if you guys go public or are caught again this will ruin his career. Not only his career but also this could be taken into legal matters and most likely will be because some idiot will see it as their responsibility to make it right. So Taylor I am asking you to think about this. I’m sorry the situation has come to this and I will help Chace with whatever decision your guys decide but I just wanted to talk to you and make sure you understood.”
Taylor quickly wiped away a tear “thank you Lori I appreciate you being honest with me”.
“No problem, well I have to go and take care of some stuff. Take care kid.”
Taylor wiped away the tears in her eyes before heading to hair and makeup. Once Taylor was able to escape from hair and makeup, she rushed over to wardrobe hoping to catch Chace before he left. Taylor ran into wardrobe out of breath catching Chace by surprise.
“Oh good you’re here.” Taylor stated out of breath
“I was just about to leave. What’s up?”
“We need to talk and I was hoping we could meet in the usual spot after I’m done here.”
Chace sighed knowing what this conversation was going to be about “I was actually going to ask if we could meet. What time?”
“I’m not sure how long it will take to film but I’ll text you when I’m done”
“Okay” Chace reached over to give Taylor a long lingering hug before leaving the trailer.

Taylor had just wrapped up her last scene and was now leaving the wardrobe trailer to meet Chace. Taylor was walking down the street and spotted Chace waiting for her. Once Taylor reached Chace, Chace reached out to Taylor and brought her into a long passionate kiss.
“So you wanted to talk?”
Taylor sighed “Yeah… Lori called me today.”
A flash of anger and shock crossed Chace’s face “What did she want?”
“Don’t be mad at her she was just being honest with me-“
“She had no right to do that! She has no right to tell you how to live your life.”
“She wasn’t telling me what to do. She actually told me that she would support you no matter what decision we made. She also told me what she told you and that you haven’t been answering her calls.”
“I just needed time to think. She gave me an impossible choice and I just needed to think without her pressuring me.”
Taylor sighed “Chace-“
“No Taylor just listen I know what I’m going to do. I can’t stop seeing you, I don’t care what people think and I don’t care about the consequences because this relationship means too much to me.”
“Chace I can’t let you do that. I can’t let you ruin your career and possibly your life.”
“Taylor no-“
Taylor placed her hands on both sides of his face and looked into his crystal clear eyes “Chace you are an amazing actor who has so much potential that people haven’t even begun to see and I will not be the reason that people never get to see that potential. This relationship means so much to me but you mean more to me. I want to see you happy and successful and us continuing our relationship could ruin that for you. My mom once told me that ‘people who are meant to be always find their way in the end’ and I believe that. So as much as it breaks my heart to let you go I’m going to because I want you to be successful in life and I believe that we will find our way in the end.” Taylor gave Chace a long passionate kiss before walking away not giving Chace the chance to change her mind.

It had been two weeks since that conversation between Chace and Taylor and they hadn’t spoken or seen each other since. Chace was on set and he was talking to Ed but not paying attention until he heard the mention of her name.
“What did you say?”
“I said did you hear that Taylor is in the hospital?”
“What? No! Where did you hear this? Is she okay?”
“The paparazzi asked me about it when I came in but I’m not sure if they are rumors or not. You should call Connor and see what’s going on.”
“Yeah…”
Chace couldn’t hear anything else that was said after that. All he could think about was whether she was okay.
A/N: So after reading that you guys must be like how can this be her favorite chapter! I think Taylor’s speech is my all time favorite part in the whole chapter though. I hope you guys enjoyed and look forward to hearing what you guys thought of the chapter.
