I should never admit this, but it makes me giggle too. :-o

Thanks, schweetheaaaht!

(Can't you just imagine what Stephen must have sounded like, before he drifted off into the Iliad?)

You know, that's a fabulous fic idea actually. A Stephen POV delirium bit, all the juicy stuff he was talking about that made poor Jack freak out. Y'know, like those naughty dreams about Diana. ;-)

That could be so hilarious. Feel like writing it? Or know a bunny-starved writer who should have a go at it?

Awww! This may just be the Stephen in me coming out, but that is one adorable elephant!

Also, your icon is fabulous. Oh god, the image of Stephen all "liek OMFG, that girl is SO hott!" is just...blasphemous.

I like the elephant in the far left background: just a 2-story heffalump heinder with a palanquin perched atop. Man, I would love to ride an elephant.

OMG liek SM+DV 4-EVAH!!!!11!! Somewhere inside every geek is a squealing 13-year-old girl. You know it. I know it. *eg*

You know, I'm not really very worried about ending the series at all- seeing as I apparently can't remember a goddamned thing from any of them. :D
Might I inquire as to where you get these marvellous pictures, 'though? Have I asked that already? Probably have. Le sigh.

It's like being a dog! Every morning, it's a brand new world! Yippeeeeee!!!!! :-D

The pictures are plates from an 1849 natural history by this guy d'Orbigny. I chose that edition of that book because (1) it's from (just barely) within Stephen's lifetime, and just the sort of book he would own, and (2) of all the books I looked at from Stephen's lifetime, it had the loveliest illustrations.

I do a bit of stuff in Photoshop: getting rid of a lot of extraneous verbiage and making what's left legible on a smallish monitor.

I do believe you've just called me a dog. :D

Do you own this book, then?

Sir, I can think of no higher compliment. :-)

No, I haven't seen the book in an unmolested form, and I could never afford it if I did. I buy the individual plates off eBay, that money-sucking devil.

Oliphaunt!:D :D

I imagined Stephen's bloom-coloured coat as kinda cream- or tan-colored. dictionary.com says this:

bloom2
n.
A bar of steel prepared for rolling.
A mass of wrought iron ready for further working.

So it could be grey- or steel-colored too. Hopefully not pink.

P.S. Love the icon, just like everyone else.;)

*really, really hoping for not-pink*

If I were a clever sort, I'd draw Legolas scampering up the side...

And then I would have to run screaming....

(As it happens, yes, I am a LotR fan. LOL)
